Accounts Receivable Staff/Collections Specialist

If you have experience working with this type of customer – or want that experience – this role may be a great fit.You Will Love It Here If You ValueTrust – When we say we’re going to do something, we do it.Team – Our players are the most important part of who we are.Fun – We find a way to enjoy what we do every day.Make an Impact – We positively affect our customers, co-workers, and community.Learn and Evolve – We seek the best way, and we adapt.You’ll love coming to work every day if you get, want, and have the capacity to:Post customer payments timely by recording cash, checks, and credit card transactionsPosts revenues by verifying and entering transactions form lock box and local deposits.Reconcile credit card settlementsInitiate Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) drafts and send customer draft noticesMaintains records by microfilming invoices, debits, and credits.Daily balancing of prior day’s bank sheet to payments receivedResearch and solve payment discrepanciesProtect organization’s values by keeping information confidentialResolve client-billing problems and reduce accounts receivable delinquency in a professional and timely mannerMake daily collection calls to negotiate with past due accounts, and sent follow-up inquiriesWork with the credit team, sale people, and other employees to ensure every effort is made to receive payment and maintain amicable customer relationsMonitor assigned accountsResearch delinquent accounts using all possible resourcesRequirementsThe best candidate will have the following qualifications:High school diploma/GED or equivalent requiredMinimum 2 years of experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or related field preferredExcellent written and verbal skillsComputer skills: Word, Excel, Outlook, and ability to learn internal accounting softwareAdditionally, While performing duties, you may be required to sit, stoop, lift up to 15 pounds, type, communicate effectively, manage conflict, work evenings and/or weekends, attend remote meetings, and travel.In the performance of respective tasks and duties, you are expected to:Successfully perform quality work within deadlines with or without supervisionInteract professionally and confidently with other employees, customers, and contactsWork effectively as a team contributor on all assignmentsWork independently while understanding the necessity for communicating and coordinating work efforts with other employees and organizationsAt Retif, we offer our employees several fantastic benefits.
