The ideal candidate brings strong hands-on experience with Erwin and ER/Studio, a solid command of SQL, and excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with business stakeholders, data architects, and engineering teams. This is a fully onsite role requiring daily presence at the McLean, VA office. Candidates willing to relocate to the McLean, VA area are encouraged to apply.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and maintain conceptual, logical, and physical data models for enterprise banking and financial services data domainsArchitect and implement OLAP-based data structures including star schemas, snowflake schemas, and data marts to support business intelligence and reporting requirementsUse Erwin Data Modeler and ER/Studio as primary tools for creating, managing, and versioning enterprise data modelsCollaborate with data architects, business analysts, and downstream consumers to understand data requirements and translate them into accurate and scalable data modelsDevelop and maintain data dictionaries, data lineage documentation, and metadata repositoriesWork closely with ETL/ELT teams to ensure data models are implemented accurately in the data warehouse and downstream systemsPerform impact analysis for data model changes and communicate implications to technical and business stakeholdersEnforce data modeling standards, naming conventions, and best practices across the organizationConduct model reviews and provide guidance and feedback to junior data modelers and analystsEnsure data models comply with banking regulatory requirements, data governance policies, and security standardsParticipate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog grooming, and reviewsProduce clear and concise technical documentation, presentations, and model specifications for both technical and non-technical audiencesRequired QualificationsMinimum 8 years of hands-on experience in data modeling within large-scale enterprise environmentsStrong expertise in OLAP architecture including star schema, snowflake schema, and dimensional modeling conceptsHands-on proficiency with Erwin Data Modeler conceptual, logical, and physical model developmentHands-on proficiency with ER/Studio for enterprise data model design and managementStrong SQL skills for data validation, querying, and model verification across relational databasesExperience working in banking, financial services, or other heavily regulated industriesExcellent verbal and written communication skills ability to present complex data concepts clearly to both technical and business audiencesStrong understanding of data warehousing concepts, data governance, and metadata managementExperience collaborating across cross-functional teams including data engineering, BI, and business stakeholdersPreferred QualificationsExperience with cloud-based data platforms such as Snowflake, Redshift, or Azure SynapseFamiliarity with data governance tools such as Collibra, Alation, or IBM IGCKnowledge of banking data domains including retail banking, lending, risk, compliance, or financeExposure to Agile delivery methodologies and sprint-based project executionExperience with data lineage and cataloging toolsPlease share Resume at gurudeepthi.g@gmail.com
