This position supports high-quality instructional and behavioral practices and promotes continuous improvement to meet the needs of students with disabilities. Additionally, this position will provide support and technical assistance to classroom teachers, paraprofessionals, and campus staff.Qualifications:Education/Certification:Bachelor's degree (Master's degree preferred) from an accredited college or universityValid Texas Special Education certificateSpecial Knowledge/Skills:Knowledge of researched-based best practices for providing specially designed instruction for students with disabilities.Ability to work cooperatively with others in attaining district special education program goals/objectives. Ability to effectively work and communicate with students, parents, and school personnel from diverse cultures or backgrounds.General knowledge of assigned content area standards. Experience with ARD/IEP management systems preferredExperience with PLAAFP Development, IEP Development and Implementation of evidence-based practices that align, and progress is collected.Ability to interpret data.Ability to train and model strategies and techniques to others. Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.Experience:At least three years successful special education teaching experience in PK-12 public school settings.Work Schedule: 207 daysSALARY: Teacher Hiring ScheduleScreenings may begin 5 school days from date posted.
