CNC Machinist

CNC MachinistWe are seeking talented Level 1 and Level 2 Machinists to join our team on the 1st shift. This role involves setting up and operating multiple CNC Lathe machines, primarily focusing on lathes, with the possibility of working on a few mills.Pay Range: $26.00-35.00/HRResponsibilitiesSet up and operate CNC Lathe machines, including Okuma and similar brands.Perform 1-3 set ups per day.Conduct first-piece and final piece inspections.Utilize Fanuc controls effectively.Apply production or job shop experience to ensure quality and efficiency.Essential SkillsMinimum of 3 years of CNC experience, specifically with lathes.Proficiency in setting up machines, with experience in completing at least 2-3 set ups per day.Familiarity with Fanuc controls.Experience with micrometers and calipers.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with mills.Programming experience, including G-code knowledge.Why Work Here?Join a strong, stable global company where you can expect long-term employment with numerous opportunities for overtime. Our facilities consist of two separate buildings, and you may rotate between them. The 1st shift operates from 6 AM to 2:30 PM, while the 2nd shift runs from 2 PM to midnight, Monday to Friday. Expect to adhere to a dress code of jeans and a work t-shirt, with steel-toed boots, a hard hat, safety glasses, and ear plugs required on the shop floor. All protective gear, except boots, is provided. Uniforms will be issued upon becoming a permanent employee.Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Skokie, IL.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $25.00 - $36.00/hr.
