Production Manager

Position SummaryWe are seeking an experienced Production Manager to lead daily operations within a heavy industrial manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for driving safety, production performance, quality, maintenance coordination, and continuous improvement while leading supervisors and production teams to meet operational and customer goals.The ideal candidate will have experience in metal manufacturing, fabrication, steel processing, or industrial operations and possess strong leadership and problem-solving skills.Key ResponsibilitiesLead daily production and warehouse operations with a strong focus on safety, quality, and efficiencyManage supervisors, staffing, scheduling, and equipment utilization to meet production demandsDrive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and process improvement methodsMonitor production metrics, downtime, and operational performance to identify improvement opportunitiesEnsure compliance with OSHA/OHSA, ISO standards, and company safety policiesCoordinate preventative maintenance efforts to minimize downtimePartner with customers and internal teams to achieve production and delivery goalsDevelop and mentor supervisors and production employeesSupport budgeting, labor planning, and cost control initiativesQualificationsBachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent manufacturing leadership experience5+ years of leadership experience in heavy industrial manufacturing, metal fabrication, steel processing, or related operationsExperience with PPAP processes and reading engineering drawingsKnowledge of GD&T, fabrication specifications, and quality systemsStrong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skillsExperience with Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiativesKnowledge of ISO 9001 and industrial safety standardsERP/SAP experience preferredWelding or stainless steel manufacturing experience is a plusCWI certification preferredWork EnvironmentHeavy industrial manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, dust, heat, and machineryFrequent standing and walking throughout the facilityOccasional lifting, bending, climbing, and equipment operationBenefitsCompetitive compensationMedical, dental, and vision insurance401(k) with company matchPaid time off and holidaysCareer growth opportunitiesApply TodayJoin a growing manufacturing organization where you can lead operations, improve performance, and make a direct impact on production success.
