Custodian - Second Shift NeededLocation: Champlain Valley Union High SchoolThis position will remain open until filled. Internal candidates will also be prioritized over external applicants during this initial seven-day window.Champlain Valley Union High School (CVU) is seeking a Custodian - 2nd Shift to join our team. This role is essential for providing a safe and clean learning environment for our students. We are looking for a reliable professional dedicated to maintaining high standards of facility cleanliness and safety.Primary ResponsibilitiesClean and maintain floors, including vacuuming, sweeping, washing, stripping, waxing, and buffing.Sanitize facilities such as bathrooms, windows, walls, water fountains, and sinks.Manage waste by emptying trash receptacles and picking up litter inside and around buildings.Support school operations through event setup/breakdown.The Ideal Candidate Will Possess1 to 2 years of relevant housekeeping or commercial cleaning experience is preferred.Ability to work cooperatively with students, staff, and supervisors.Strong dependability and the ability to work independently to get things done.Capacity to stand/walk constantly and frequently lift or push/pull up to 25 lbs.Experience not required; paid training provided to all new hires.Please apply via SchoolSpring with a letter of interest, resume, and three current letters of reference.This position offers a competitive salary and benefits package based on qualifications and experience.
