⚡ Energy Trading Technology Consultant – Contract | Remote | Python & Cloud EngineeringDigisourced Ltd is supporting a client engagement and is seeking an experienced Energy Trading Technology Consultant to support the development and enhancement of software solutions within a modern energy trading environment.📅 Start: ASAP📆 Duration: Initial contract until end of 2026💼 Engagement: Contract / Freelance🌍 Location: Remote🏠 Candidate Location: EU-based🗣 Language: English🔎 Role OverviewThis role sits at the intersection of software engineering and energy trading, supporting the design, development, and optimisation of business-critical applications used within trading and risk management environments.🛠 Key ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with architects, project managers, and development teams to design software solutionsDevelop, maintain, and enhance applications using modern Python frameworksBuild scalable APIs and backend servicesSupport integration with trading, risk, and data platformsParticipate in code reviews and quality assurance activitiesTroubleshoot and resolve application issuesContribute to CI/CD, deployment, and platform automation initiativesProduce technical documentation and knowledge-sharing materials✅ Required ExperienceStrong Python development experience, including FastAPI and related frameworksExperience with SQL and modern data platforms such as SnowflakeKnowledge of CI/CD pipelines, Git, Docker, Kubernetes, and KafkaExperience working within Agile software delivery environmentsUnderstanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) practicesExperience within the energy trading and/or risk management domainFamiliarity with Azure DevOps or similar collaboration and delivery tools🎯 Ideal ProfileYou are a hands-on technology professional with a strong software engineering background and a solid understanding of energy trading environments.
