Controller

Overview: The Controller will serve as a key member of the finance leadership team, owning the integrity of the company’s financial operations and reporting. This is a hands-on role overseeing the full accounting function, with responsibility for delivering timely, accurate financials in a product-driven, multi-channel environment with both domestic and international activity.Reporting directly to the CFO, this individual will manage day-to-day accounting, including general ledger, inventory, and cash management, while ensuring compliance with internal policies and external requirements. The Controller will also lead audit efforts, strengthen internal controls, and drive process improvements to support a scalable infrastructure.This role partners closely with leadership across operations, sales, and supply chain to provide financial insights, improve visibility into performance, and support strategic initiatives. The position includes oversight of a small team and select international entities.Key Responsibilities:Oversee all accounting operations including month-end close, financial reporting, and general ledger managementManage inventory accounting, costing methodologies, and related analysisMonitor cash flow, working capital, and liquidity planningLead annual audit and coordinate with external auditors and advisorsEstablish and maintain strong internal controls and compliance frameworksDrive process improvements to shorten close timelines and enhance reporting accuracyPartner cross-functionally to support budgeting, forecasting, and operational decision-makingMentor and develop accounting staff while fostering a high-performance team environmentQualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field7+ years of progressive accounting experienceCPA preferredBackground in product-based or inventory-intensive environmentsStrong understanding of financial reporting, inventory, and cash flow managementExperience leading teams and improving processesProficiency with ERP systems such as NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar toolsTrack record of stability and growth in prior rolesAdditional Details:Transition support will be provided by the current leadership teamOpportunity to optimize and streamline the close processHigh visibility role with direct interaction with executive leadership in a growing organization
