Candidate will receive training on shop safety, mechanical theory, tool usage and the assembly and repair of National Machinery products. The Development Trainee position is not permanent; candidates are expected to complete the National Training school and be promoted to Assembly Trainee within one year.Participate in our one-year training school consisting of both classroom and hands-on training to demonstrate and learn necessary skillsUse various power and hand tools to drill, tap, scrape, and cutUse various measuring devices, assembly drawings, printsMaintain a clean, organized, and safe work areaOvernight travel to customer facilities may be requiredOther duties may be assigned.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:Completion of a Vocational school program or proven solid work historyReliable attendance and a strong work ethicSelf-motivated and can follow instructionsRetain training and information to be able to repeat duties without supervisionMust be quality focused and detail orientedMust be able to actively participate and work in a team environment.Strong mechanical and mathematical skills.Excellent communication and organizational skills.Familiarity with computersValid driver’s license and driving record that allows insurability under company’s policy for Field ServiceAbility to obtain a passport for overseas travel for Field ServiceWORK ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL DEMANDSShop environment, safety-toed shoes and safety glasses requiredAdditional Training and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) will be required and provided by National Machinery related to specific tasksMust be able to regularly lift, push & pull loads of up to 50 pounds on a regular basisWork can be strenuous, and includes walking, climbing, kneeling, crawling, squatting, and pulling (such as on torque wrenches) as well as standing for long periods of time
