Cosmetologist/Hair Stylist

Looking for 2 part time licensed Cosmetologists to join our team and learn our HeadSpa techniques! This is a part time commission & tips based position that can be leveraged towards becoming a full time stylist. We will train you in our signature blow outs and head spa services but not limited to those services we are a full service salon including including: cutting hair using basic and advanced techniques, coloring and lightening procedures including balayage, foiling, color melts, (fantasy color techniques encouraged though not necessary.) If you are looking for a vibrant and energetic workplace and have experience as a cosmetologist in a salon setting we’d like to meet you. Preference towards stylists comfortable with all hair lengths, types, and up to date trends. Ultimately, this role will ensure all clients leave the salon satisfied with services received and feel happy with their new look. Responsibilities Welcome customers and identify their preferences by asking pointed questions Recommend hairstyles and haircuts according to customers’ face shapes and tastes Wash, rinse and dry clients’ hair using appropriate shampoos and conditioners (e.g. for oily hair or dry scalp) Cut, trim and shave hair using professional equipment Apply a wide range of hair coloring techniques, like highlights, color melts and balayage Create hairstyles for formal events and everyday looks, including braids, ponytails and buns Apply hair treatment products, as needed (e.g. post treatments, olaplex, hair masks) Form bonds with loyal customers and remember their hairstyle preferences Manage bookings and serve walk-ins Ensure tidiness of beauty stations and sterilize tools, as needed, CLEAN UP AFTER YOURSELF Cross-sell hair care products or services, when appropriate Skills Excellent communication skills Ability to be on ones feet for up to 8hrs.
