This position operates at the intersection of business development, technical design, and financial structuring, requiring both strategic insight and hands-on execution.Working closely with executive leadership, this individual will help shape development strategy while independently managing complex opportunities across the full project lifecycle. The role is well-suited for a professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is comfortable navigating both client-facing and internal coordination responsibilities.What Youll DoDrive project origination efforts by identifying, engaging, and developing relationships with commercial and industrial stakeholdersBuild and manage a pipeline of qualified opportunities aligned with strategic growth prioritiesLead projects through the full development lifecycle, from initial concept through executed agreementsStructure and present comprehensive clean energy solutions, including solar and storage investmentsDevelop financial models and investment analyses to support client decision-makingCoordinate with engineering, finance, and delivery teams to align technical feasibility, cost assumptions, and execution plansManage timelines, stakeholders, and key milestones to maintain deal momentum and ensure successful outcomesServe as the primary point of contact for clients, providing guidance on complex energy investment decisionsTranslate client objectives into actionable internal requirements and ensure seamless transition into project executionContribute to the refinement of development processes, tools, and go-to-market strategiesSupport strategic initiatives including market expansion, partnership development, and innovation in financing structuresMentor junior team members and contribute to overall team development and performance improvementThe Ideal Candidate Will HaveBachelors degree in Engineering, Finance, Business, Construction Management, or a related discipline5+ years of experience in clean energy development, distributed generation, or infrastructure project developmentDemonstrated success originating and closing complex, multi-party energy or infrastructure dealsStrong understanding of energy markets, project economics, and distributed energy systems such as solar and storageAdvanced financial modeling capabilities, including investment analysis and project valuationExperience structuring and negotiating agreements such as PPAs, EPC contracts, or development agreementsFamiliarity with regulatory frameworks, utilities, and permitting processes, particularly within California marketsProven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high attention to detailExcellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence decision-makersSalary Range: $150-180k + BonusWho We ArePeak Demand is the leading executive search firm focused on solar, renewable energy, and energy storage.
