Security EngineerRemobi | Remote (across the EU) | Freelance/Contract | 3 months, with chances to extendWe are Remobi - we help businesses scale and innovate through high-performing, remote nearshore tech teams.We're hiring a Security Engineer for a short, focused engagement within an internal portfolio of applications for a large industrial technology company.A recent internal security and compliance evaluation has uncovered gaps that need closing quickly - we need someone who can get hands-on fast, working alongside the existing technical team to build proper security checks into the applications.What You'll DoDefine and implement security controls across AI and enterprise platformsOwn RBAC, API security, and identity management across the application portfolioImplement secrets management and network segmentationEstablish data privacy, audit logging, and security monitoring practicesEvaluate current applications and processes for data breach risk and security gapsBridge the gap between security requirements and the existing technical stack, working closely with the internal technical teamEnsure compliance requirements are met and properly documentedWhat We're Looking ForMust-have:Strong background in cybersecurity and security architectureExperience with compliance frameworks and network/security specialismsPenetration testing experienceComfortable working at pace on a short, focused engagementAble to work effectively alongside an existing technical team and understand established codebases/stacks quicklyNice-to-have:Experience with air-gapped environments and Zero Trust architectureIndustrial cybersecurity and risk assessment experienceWhy This RoleA tight, well-defined engagement where you can make a real dent fast - closing critical security and compliance gaps for an established application portfolio, working directly alongside the team that built it.
