Investment Operations Associate

Role Overview As an Investment Operations Associate, you will work closely with the principals and play a key role within the investment team, supporting day-to-day investment and portfolio management activities. This role is designed to take ownership of core analytical, operational, and monitoring responsibilities across the investment lifecycle. Core Responsibilities Investment Pipeline Management Collaborate with the investment team to manage and optimize the investment pipeline, ensuring efficient workflows and timely decision-making Support the preparation of principals for investment opportunity pitches and participate in pitch meetings as needed Review investment materials and draft concise internal summaries to support the due diligence process for prospective opportunities Conduct comprehensive research and financial analysis to support underwriting of potential investments Participate in Investment Committee meetings and engage directly with investment sponsors to address outstanding questions and facilitate allocation decisions Portfolio Monitoring & Reporting Maintain internal tracking of investment performance reports across the entire portfolio Prepare concise internal summaries of quarterly investment updates for the principals Serve as a primary point of contact for ongoing manager communications Investment Operations & Process Management Own the operational workflow from initial pitch through funding and ongoing monitoring Enhance and systematize internal processes, templates, and reporting tools to improve efficiency and consistency What We’re Looking For Strong financial and analytical skill set, with advanced proficiency in Excel Experience with alternative investments, including private equity and private credit is preferred Exceptional attention to detail and ability to manage complex financial data with accuracy Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to summarize complex information clearly and succinctly Highly organized, process-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple workstreams simultaneously Self-starter who can operate independently and exercise sound judgment Technologically inclined, with a strong interest in AI and emerging software tools that enhance workflow efficiency and investment analysis Intellectual curiosity and strong desire to deeply understand investment structures and economics 3-5 years of relevant experience in financial analysis or a related field is preferred What We Offer Competitive compensation with performance-based bonus Health insurance and pension plans Paid time off starting at 12 days per year, plus holidays to support work-life balance Direct exposure to principals and real investment decision-making How to Apply Please submit your resume and cover letter explaining your interest and relevant experience to: careers@kaplangroup.com Kaplan Group is an equal opportunity employer and encourages candidates of all backgrounds to apply.
