McGuire AFB neighbors NYC, Philadelphia, and Atlantic City.Clinical Psychologist Duties & Responsibilities:5-8 patients per day case loadPractice within the guidelines of their state licensing board, the American Psychological Association Ethical Principles and Code of Conduct, and MTF privileges.Conduct psychological evaluations utilizing information from clinical interviews, administration, and interpretation of psychological testing/psychodiagnostics testing (e.g., cognitive and personality assessment), and collateral sources, as appropriate.Establish psychiatric diagnoses according to the American Psychiatric Association's Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Disorders.Provide evidence-based psychological treatment for individuals and groups; help medical and surgical patients deal with illnesses or injuries.Assist in the rehabilitation of patients.Maintain accurate and current notes in the electronic medical record. QUALIFICATIONS:Education: Doctor of Philosophy degree (Ph.D or Psy.D) in clinical or counseling psychology from an APA-accredited psychology programInternship: must have completed an APA-approved internship. No exceptions.Experience: Have a minimum of 2 years of experience as a licensed clinical psychologistCertifications: BLS requiredLicense: Current, full, active, and unrestricted license to practice Psychology in any stateSecurity Clearance: Must have a clear background in order to pass the security clearanceFamiliar with the organization structure and operation methods of the Air ForcePossesses excellent written and oral communication skills.
