Construction Manager

Location: De Kalb, MS (Onsite Required)This position is based onsite in De Kalb, MS and requires a regular on-site presence.Hargrove is seeking an experienced Electrical Construction Lead / Construction Manager to support projects in De Kalb, MS. This role focuses on coordinating electrical construction activities, with some involvement in I&C scope, ensuring work is completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to quality standards.This position plays a key role in supporting the Weatherization Project, as well as other OPCO capital, retrofit, and outage projects. The ideal candidate brings strong field coordination experience, excellent communication skills, and the ability to lead contractor execution with minimal supervision.Per diem is offered to qualifying candidates.Key ResponsibilitiesLead coordination of electrical construction activities, including minor I&C scopeSupport execution of the Weatherization Project and additional assigned capital or outage projectsEnsure all work is performed in alignment with company standards, project scope, and specificationsChampion a zero-incident safety culture and ensure contractor compliance with safety requirementsOversee safe performance and coordination of all contractors on siteUtilize design and record drawings to plan, track, and manage work packagesCollaborate with design leaders, engineers, and field teams to ensure efficient executionParticipate in planning, scheduling, cost, and performance discussionsIdentify and communicate scope or design changes in a timely mannerReview and validate:Vendor drawingsFabrication drawingsConstruction specifications and submittalsCoordinate contractor activities to minimize delays and resolve field issues proactivelyMonitor contractor staffing levels and resource alignmentMaintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, and stakeholdersProvide on-site support during commissioning and startup activitiesQualificationsEducationHigh School Diploma or equivalent (required)Degree in Construction Science, Engineering, or a related field (preferred)ExperienceMinimum 10 years of industrial construction or project-related experienceRequired:At least 2 years of experience as an Electrical Lead Coordinator, ORAt least 5 years of experience as an Electrical CoordinatorExperience coordinating electrical construction in industrial environments is requiredExposure to or experience with I&C coordination or collaboration is preferredCore CompetenciesStrong leadership and contractor coordination skillsAbility to effectively communicate and collaborate with field teams and contractorsProficiency in interpreting and applying design and record drawingsKnowledge of construction safety, project execution, and project controlsAbility to manage multiple priorities and meet schedule demandsStrong organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skillsDemonstrated ability to lead teams and drive accountabilityExcellent verbal and written communication skillsProficiency in Microsoft OfficeWork Environment & Physical RequirementsAbility to sit, stand, or walk for extended periodsAbility to work outdoors in varying weather conditionsAbility to wear required PPE, including FR clothing, hard hat, safety glasses, and hearing protectionLI-BH1
