IDMS/COBOL Programmer

Provide technical support to the existing Legacy Code Enforcement system (COBOL/IDMS), and its multiple integrations with other County systems, including XML integrations using Vegasoft. Provide technical support to the system's substantial batch reporting functionality. Provide technical support to Ad hoc processes required to satisfy complex reporting requirements. Develop documentation and track system changes. Work with business analysts and end-users to test and implement new reporting requirements and integrations with external systems. MINIMUM EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: At least ten years of large scale application development experience in support of Legacy applications, including reporting processes, is required. Ability to work in a team and with strict business deadlines. Strong communication skills (written and verbal). Demonstrate ability to clearly communicate complex technical concepts to operational customer base, vendors, as well as, technical and functional staff.
