CT Tech Location: Charleston, SC Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,248 per week Shift Information: Days - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 6/8/2026 About the Position Job Title: CT Technologist Profession: CT Technologist Specialty: - Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Friday, Saturday, Sunday Hours per Shift: 12.5 hours Experience: One year of experience as a Radiologic Technologist preferred License: Registered in Radiologic Technology by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Certifications: Must have a current American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Provider Card Must-Have: Strong interpersonal and communication skills Description: Following established protocols and under the medical supervision of certified radiologists, CT technologists will produce computerized tomography scanner radiographs of designated anatomical areas as ordered by the physician. Technologists will assist the radiologists on procedures as needed and will be responsible for supervising student Radiologic Technologists assigned to them. Encourages and maintains good customer relations. Job Duties and Responsibilities: Responsible for the care and safety of patients during imaging procedures utilizing age-appropriate care. Follows established protocols and performs procedures for the direct results of interpretations. Obtains correct written orders for procedures. Efficiently uses time to accomplish patient care assignments while meeting work quality, quantity, and timeliness expectations. Assists in the clinical education of student technologists. Efficient utilization of imaging equipment with attention to minimizing repeat examinations. Uses supplies with an emphasis on cost containment. Instructs and prepares patients regarding imaging procedures and assists in obtaining informed consent as needed. Ensures patients understand the procedure. Communicates with family members regarding discharge instructions. Responds actively and sensitively to the needs of internal and external customers. Ensures correct orders, diagnosis, and clinical history are entered into the computer system. Communicates with the Radiologist regarding procedure and presents a positive and professional demeanor in both verbal and written communications. Adheres to hospital, departmental, and safety policies and procedures. Practices good radiation protection and follows established guidelines for governing organizations. Completes annual mandatory in-services and maintains current licensure requirements. Promotes the mission and values of the organization. Assists other members of the Imaging Team and/or other disciplines, including clerical staff, to maintain records, reports, and files. Functions as a team player by helping wherever needed. Demonstrates flexibility and accountability in job duties. Takes initiative towards improving departmental operations and consistently completes responsibilities. Performs other job duties and responsibilities as required. Work Demands/Environment: Frequent standing and walking. Frequent lifting and moving patients, up to 50 lbs. Frequent use of finger/hand dexterity. Constant reaching with hands/arms. Frequent talking and hearing. Exposure to blood, body fluids, or tissue. Possible exposure to infectious materials and communicable diseases. Frequent exposure to radiation. Occasional exposure to toxic or caustic chemicals. Quiet to moderate noise level in the work area. Requires work under stressful conditions, deadlines, or irregular hours. May be required to take call and/or work weekends/holidays based on departmental needs. Knowledge/Skills: Demonstrated ability to perform and teach CT exams to produce satisfactory diagnostic images for interpretation preferred. Knowledge of relevant standards and regulations.
