As the Junior Sous Chef you will lead Dom's Kitchen & Market dynamic Food Service team dedicated to delivering Talk of the Town Guest Service!ResponsibilitiesDom's Kitchen & Market Junior Sous Chef will lead the Food Service department and be accountable for total FRESH responsibility in Food Service that merges your love for people - both team members and guests - with operational excellence. You will be:Measured and rewarded by your ability to deliver Talk of the Town Guest Service, drive optimal Food Service teams' performance, maintain FRESH operations and achieve financial targetsAccountable for the extraordinary experience of your team and your guestsResponsible for engaging conversations with guests and ensure each guest receives an extraordinary Talk of the Town guest experienceFocused on driving sales through technical expertise, industry knowledge and innovative merchandisingExpected to successfully train, develop, retain, mentor and motivate Dom's Kitchen & Market first-class Food Service team leading to inspired teamwork creating an inviting atmosphere for guestsAssist with work duties across Food Service including cross-training of team membersChallenge Food Service team daily to provide world class FRESH conditions and presentations including consistent Food Prep, Recipes are followed, Quality, In-Stock, In-Code, product rotation and temperature checksAccountable for scheduling for the Food Service team for maximum productivity and high standards of quality that align to business needs and budgeted labor goalsLead appropriate Food Service sales forecasting, planning, ordering, sales floor inventory levelsEnsure food production is executed, food prep is consistent and technically accurate within budgeted ingredient cost goals, institute controls to minimize food and supply waste, implement appropriate repurposing of food wasteResponsible for receiving of product, invoice accuracy, vendor commitments, vendor backstockAccountable for backroom, cooler and freezer logistics including minimal inventory levels, freshness dates and organization of product and suppliesMaintain the high standards of Food Safety and Sanitation at all times throughout Food Service sales floor, cooler, freezer and backroom including regular cleaning and maintenance of equipment, tables, cases and shelves with organization and sanitation of all backrooms, food prep areas and suppliesListening for the Voice of the Guest to identify Food Service trends for guest needs and expectations and counsel with Coaching Assistant to integrate findings to deliver value and accelerate growthOpen to learning and growing for personal developmentEmpowered to deliver with your Food Service team the transformative shopping experience that Dom's Kitchen & Market will be legendary for!The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of the work being performed by people assigned to this work.
