Time Frame: August 19 - September 13th, 2026 - REMOTE
Role: The Video Publication Operations Manager supports the US Open Video Publication team by serving as a hands-on operational lead during the tournament. This role ensures smooth day-to-day execution of video publishing workflows by coordinating closely with internal US Open teams and external technology partners, managing schedules and priorities, and providing real-time support to publishing staff.
The position plays a critical role in maintaining speed, accuracy, and reliability of video publishing during live match play, while stepping in to assist with manual execution when workflows become backed up or require direct intervention.
This is a temporary, high-intensity role designed specifically for the US Open tournament period.
Responsibilities:
Act as a primary point of contact between the Video Publication team, US Open staff, and external technology partners
Maintain frequent, clear communication with a team of 45 video publishers to manage workloads, schedules, and priorities
Coordinate daily publishing schedules and adjust coverage in real time based on match flow, breaking moments, and operational needs
Work closely with technology partners including:
WSC
Anyclip
Vita / Google
UsOpen.org Photography Team
IBM
Develop a working understanding of partner software tools and workflows to:
Troubleshoot issues
Answer real-time support questions
Escalate problems efficiently when needed
Provide hands-on support by assisting directly with video publishing tasks when volume spikes or delays occur
Track operational issues and ensure timely resolution to minimize disruption to publishing output
Support overall workflow efficiency during live match days, including weekends
Ensure consistent communication and alignment across teams throughout each match day
Schedule & DurationTemporary role covering the US Open tournament period
Approximately 3 consecutive weeks, including weekends
Primarily a night position starting approximately at 5pm till the close of matches daily.
Experience / Skills:
Strong communication skills with the ability to manage frequent, fast-paced coordination across multiple teams
Comfort working in a live production or real-time publishing environment
Ability to learn and adapt quickly to new software tools and workflows
Highly organized with strong attention to detail
Willingness to take a hands-on approach and assist with execution when needed
Calm and effective under pressure during high-volume, time-sensitive situations
Preferred ExperiencePrior experience supporting live sports, media production, or digital publishing operations
Familiarity with video publishing platforms, CMS tools, or content workflows
Experience coordinating between internal teams and external technology vendors
What We Offer:
Compensation: This is a non-exempt position with an hourly rate of $30.00.
