CNC Machinist II - Mills

Micro-Tronics is seeking a CNC Machinist II - Mills to join our team. In this role, you will set up and operate CNC milling machines to produce high-precision components, primarily for aerospace and related industries.This position requires strong experience with setups, blueprint reading, and inspection, along with the ability to troubleshoot and maintain consistent quality in a production environment.Key ResponsibilitiesSet up and operate CNC milling machines to produce parts per blueprints and specificationsInterpret blueprints and GD&T to ensure accurate machiningPerform in-process inspections using precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, comparators, etc.)Monitor machining processes and make adjustments for tool wear, offsets, and quality controlTroubleshoot machining issues and support process improvementsRecord production data, including setup/run times and part quantitiesMaintain accurate documentation (job routers, inspection records, tracking systems)Perform routine machine maintenance and ensure equipment is operating properlyDeburr, clean, and package finished partsMaintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment (5S standards)Collaborate with leads, supervisors, and quality teams to resolve non-conformancesQualifications3+ years of CNC machining experience, including setups4+ years of overall precision machining experience preferredStrong experience with CNC milling (multi-axis preferred)Working knowledge of G & M code, tool offsets, and machining fundamentalsAbility to read and interpret blueprints and GD&TExperience with precision inspection tools (micrometers, indicators, comparators, etc.)Familiarity with Fanuc controls; experience with HAAS, Doosan, or Brother machines is a plusBasic knowledge of CAD/CAM is a plusEducation:High School Diploma or GED requiredTrade school or apprenticeship training preferredSkills & CompetenciesStrong attention to detail and quality focusAbility to troubleshoot and adjust machining processesSolid understanding of machining math and tolerancesAbility to work independently and as part of a teamPerformance Metrics (KPIs)Setup efficiency and time reductionScrap rate and quality performanceOn-time completion of workPhysical RequirementsAbility to stand, walk, and move throughout the shiftManual dexterity to operate machinery and toolsAbility to lift and move materials using carts or equipmentAbility to wear required PPEBENEFITS:At Micro-Tronics we recognize how important your career and benefits are to you and your family.
