Journeyman Electrician

Overview We are seeking a skilled Journeyperson Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in electrical systems, possess strong problem-solving abilities, and be committed to ensuring safety and quality in all electrical work. Duties - Utilize hand and power tools to assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical systems - Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams - Perform high-voltage electrical work safely and efficiently - Troubleshoot electrical issues using logic controllers and ohmmeters - Adhere to National Electrical Code (NEC) standards for all installations and repairs Experience - Proven experience as a Journeyperson Electrician or similar role - Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment - Strong knowledge of electrical systems, including blueprint reading and schematics interpretation - Familiarity with high-voltage systems and safety protocols - Certification as a Journeyperson Electrician is preferred but not required Job Type: Full-time Pay: $23.00 - $26.00 per hour Benefits: 401(k) 401(k) matching Dental insurance Health insurance Life insurance Paid time off Vision insurance Schedule: 8 hour shift Day shift Monday to Friday Weekends as needed Ability to Commute: Cedar Rapids, IA (Preferred) Ability to Relocate: Cedar Rapids, IA: Relocate before starting work (Required) Work Location: In person
