Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Newark is currently seeking a Full Time Assistant Program Director for its St. Lucy's/Franciska Residence Programs located in Jersey City, NJ.St. Lucy's Homeless Shelter is an 80 bed emergency shelter in Jersey City that ensures safety and builds stability in the lives of homeless men and women. The Housing Specialist is responsible for assisting shelter residents in obtaining safe and appropriate permanent or supportive affordable housing.Franciska Residence is an all men 14-bed transitional housing program that improves the daily living skills, stabilizes the health, increases knowledge about the HIV/AIDS virus and available community resources, and assists in the process of securing a permanent living situation for men in Jersey City living with HIV/AIDS.JOB DUTIES: The Assistant Program Director assists the Division Director in the supervision and daily operations of three programs and functions as the administrator in charge in the absence of the Division Director. The Assistant Program Director coordinates and integrates services within the specific program(s) for which he/she is responsible. The Assistant Program Director maintains accountability for professional standards within his or her area of supervision and implements policies and procedures for these areas. The Assistant Program Director delivers services within the scope of the service delivery area in order to improve client and program outcomes. The Assistant Program Director is charged with supervising program staff and overseeing the implementation of all daily program activities and services to ensure program outcomes.
