Senior Business Systems Analyst – Contract / Contract-to-hireDuration: 4+ months (extensions or CTH likely)Client Location: Minneapolis / St. Paul, MN (some travel may be needed if not local)We're working with a direct client that has a contract need for a Senior Business Systems Analyst to support their Energy Refineries, Pipelines, and Terminals (RPT) business. This role will focus on application support, enhancements, and ongoing improvements within the HVC landscape.This is a hands-on role that requires someone who can work directly with the business, gather and translate requirements, and help drive solutions through to delivery.What you'll be doing:Partner with business teams to understand needs and translate them into system requirementsSupport and enhance existing applications, including troubleshooting and issue resolutionWrite and manage user stories, and work closely with development and QA teamsCoordinate testing efforts (QA and UAT) and support implementationsHelp drive process improvements and identify opportunities for optimizationProvide user support and occasional training on supported systemsWork across IT teams to keep projects moving and ensure successful deliveryWhat they're looking for:4+ years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst in an IT environmentStrong experience with requirements gathering, documentation, and process analysisBackground supporting integrated business applicationsExperience coordinating across IT and business teams on projectsNice to have:Experience with supply planning / optimization tools (energy industry experience is a plus)SQL and data experience (data modeling, querying, etc.)Familiarity with Azure DevOps or similar toolsExposure to Power BI / Power PlatformGeneral understanding of system development lifecycle
