Network Engineer Senior

Network Engineer SeniorAcuity Inc is seeking a Senior Network Engineer with a focus on firewall administration and a security mindset to join our Infrastructure Engineering team. As part of our team, you'll have the opportunity to design, secure, deploy, scale, and maintain highly available network infrastructure both on site as well as in the cloud with Azure. Our team's focus is on quantifying and improving the availability, reliability, security, and performance of our products and services. Remote work is the norm for our highly distributed teams.Key tasks and responsibilities (essential functions) include:Building site-to-site VPN tunnelsMaintaining a secure limited access firewall rule baseBuilding network configurations and connections across LAN and WANTroubleshooting network problemsIP address allocation and maintenance to avoid overlapsMaintaining firmware on switches, APs, load balancers and other devicesNetwork segmentationVoice and Call Center system configurationLeading incident resolution efforts and postmortemsDesigning and implementing monitoring and automation toolsA system operations mindset focused on maintaining uptime and addressing disruptionsStrong collaboration skills to work with other engineering teamsFamiliarity with monitoring systems such as SolarWinds, PRTG, AzureExperience with web networking, TLS, SSL certificate management, reverse proxies, and load balancingExcellent written communication skillsA passion for solving complex problems and continuous improvementSkills and minimum experience required:7+ years of experience in a similar roleIn depth experience with firewall administration, VPN tunnels, and multi-ISP routingNetwork access control (NAC) systemsNetwork switch and AP hardware configuration and installationNetwork design, implementation and troubleshootingNetwork segmentation that includes security limits with ACLs, NACs, and firewallsWireless network security with 802.1x and certificate authenticationWAF experience with DDoS and Bot protectionsIncident response and/or incident management experienceExperience with highly available distributed systemsExperience with OT (Operational Technology) network segmentation is a plusExperience defining SLAs, SLOs, and SLIsExperience with Microsoft Azure cloud platformThe range for this position is $83,300.00 to $164,400.00. Placement within this range may vary, depending on the applicant's experience and geographic location.
