Office Assistant

Job Overview: We are seeking an organized Office Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for handling administrative tasks and providing support to ensure efficient operation of the office. The Office Assistant will help support multiple departments to ensure smooth operations. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Answer phones, assisting the caller or taking a message for the appropriate individual Direct walk-in customers or vendors in a pleasant respectful manner Provide administrative support to various departments, including HR, finance, production, and logistics. Assist with data entry, report generation, scheduling, and other tasks as assigned Order office and plant supplies as needed Complete shipping and receiving log entries Log sales and receipts Assist with new hire onboarding, completing new hire paperwork with employees and sending necessary documents to HR and/or Payroll on a timely basis Assist HR in providing employees with paperwork regarding insurance and sending enrollment forms to HR Keep office area organized and free of clutter. Organize items within the plant when needed Complete miscellaneous paperwork as needed Other duties as assigned This list of duties is not intended to be all-inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties or responsibilities that senior management may deem necessary. Qualifications/Skills: Previous experience as an Office Assistant or other administrative role preferred Demonstrated proficiency in MS Office products (MS Outlook and MS Excel, are required) Familiarity with email scheduling tools, like Microsoft Teams Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work Attention to detail and problem-solving skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong organizational and planning skills in a fast-paced environment Job Type: Part-time Pay: From $17.00 per hour Work Location: In person
