Each person at K’ul is responsible for learning every step of the chocolate making process and pitching in to deliver the goods. Bottom line: we value folks who can pitch in to do everything from making delicious treats to packaging and shipping our bars of goodness (we actually make more than just chocolate bars, but it sounded good, right?) Who you are: We are looking for a dynamic person who is motivated to learn the chocolate-making process. You are perfect for this job if you are confident jumping in and making things happen, willing to roll up your sleeves and actively engage in learning and seeking improvement. The best candidates for this position will also: be able to repeatedly lift 55 pounds possess ace communication skills have a willingness to work in a factory setting are excited to learn pride themselves in being self-driven able to be flexible in dynamic work environment What you’ll be doing We will train you to be a critical part of the chocolate making process: from the raw beans to the finished chocolate bar or chip. This job will include but is not limited to roasting cocoa beans; operating production processing equipment; weighing, recording, and monitoring data and packaging products. What you can expect: Benefits include: 35-40 hours a week, determined on hire Starting wage $19-21 DOE with a 60-day review Accrued PTO after 60-day trial Medical Stipend Matching 401-K 3% Family-centric work culture Casual and creative work environment Minimum qualifications: Experience working in a food manufacturing environment Able to work a 4-10 schedule Monday to Thursday Flexibility on start and stop time due to production schedule Able to adhere to production tracking methods Comfortable in working in factory setting with large, loud machines Ability to work independently, completing assigned tasks on time and in adherence with standard operating procedures.
