OSP Network Designer

GVTC is looking for an experienced Designer to support the engineering and expansion of our fiber and telecommunications infrastructure across growing communities in Texas.This role is ideal for someone with outside plant (OSP) design experience who enjoys working on impactful fiber projects, collaborating cross-functionally, and seeing projects move from concept to construction.What You’ll DoDesign Fiber-to-the-Home (FTTH), HFC, and copper network infrastructureDevelop construction drawings, splicing diagrams, and project packagesPerform field surveys and gather GPS/GIS data for network planningCoordinate with contractors, utilities, developers, and local agenciesSupport aerial, underground, and buried cable projectsEstimate project costs and support network expansion initiativesConduct site inspections and ensure quality standards are metWhat You Bring3+ years of telecommunications OSP design experienceKnowledge of fiber optic construction and splicing practicesExperience with aerial and underground telecom infrastructureCAD experience (Bentley COMMs preferred)Strong organizational and problem-solving skillsAbility to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environmentWhy GVTC?GVTC is committed to delivering high-quality broadband and communications services to the communities we serve.
