Registered Engineer, Electrical
Overview
As a Project Engineer in our Facilities Engineering team, you will lead electrical design across office, industrial, and institutional projects, focusing on power, lighting, and signal systems. You’ll collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to deliver safe, efficient, and reliable site plans, one-lines, and schedules, while supporting construction administration. This is an employee-owned environment where your contributions help manage diverse building projects and client interactions. You’ll work primarily in Bloomington, MN with flexible hybrid arrangements and opportunities to travel.

ResponsibilitiesLead the electrical engineering work on projects (site, power, lighting, and signal plans)Create and maintain one-lines, panel boards, conduit/cable schedules, and detail drawingsSupport construction administration (respond to contractor questions, review shop drawings, verify site work aligns with plans and specs)
Key requirements4+ years in power, lighting, and signal system design for commercial/industrial facilitiesExperience with electrical distribution equipment (panel boards, transformers, lighting, fire alarm, security, data)Design experience with 208/120 and 480/277 volt systemsWorking knowledge of the National Electrical CodeProficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and MS OfficeBasic familiarity with Mechanical, Civil, Structural, and Architectural disciplinesStrong communication skills; comfortable in meetings and client conversationsAbility to travel up to 10% (occasional overnight)PE registration in Minnesota, or ability to obtain within 12–18 monthsStrong communicationteam collaborationclient-facing engagementElectrical power designLighting designSignal systems
