Product Safety Specialist

Akkodis is seeking a Product Safety Specialist for a Contract with a client in South Portland, ME. This position requires advanced scientific expertise to drive compliance in product safety and SDS generation while coordinating accurate product composition information across multiple teams .Rate Range: $40/hour to $42/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.Product Safety Specialist job responsibilities include:Ensure divisional compliance with product safety regulations and manage accurate Safety Data Sheet (SDS) creation and maintenance.Coordinate with cross-functional teams and suppliers to gather, verify, and organize product composition information.Develop and standardize processes, templates, and long-range strategies for Product Safety and Product Stewardship programs.Conduct product and part assessments to identify regulatory impacts across the supply chain.Manage multiple complex technical projects, set priorities, and meet established timelines and quality requirements.Maintain and support formal Product Safety systems, partnering with Quality and Operations to integrate safety requirements into product development and manufacturing.Required Qualifications:B.S., M.S., or Ph.D. in Biochemistry, Chemistry, Biology, Chemical Engineering, Biotechnology, or a related scientific field.5+ years in the biotechnology industry with strong focus on product safety, product stewardship, or related areas.Expertise in Safety Data Sheet (SDS) generation and thorough knowledge of Product Safety regulations and internal standards.Proven ability to manage complex technical projects, communicate scientific information effectively, and collaborate across cross-functional teams.If you are interested in this role, then please click APPLY NOW.
