Litigation Paralegal
Our client is looking to hire an experienced Litigation Paralegal to support attorneys across a broad range of litigation matters for their Albany, NY office. This is a permanent, hybrid position with 3 days onsite.This role is ideal for a detail-oriented and proactive professional with prior experience in a litigation firm who can effectively manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment. The position requires strong organizational, calendaring, and scheduling skills, along with the ability to handle a high-volume caseload and collaborate with multiple attorneys.You will be responsible for drafting and preparing a variety of legal documents, including notices, motions, subpoenas, stipulations, discovery responses, and affidavits for attorney review. Assist in obtaining and organizing records—such as medical and educational documents—through vendors and subpoenas, and prepare exhibits and supporting materials for motion practice, depositions, and trial. Additional duties include conducting legal research using tools like Lexis and WestlawReviewing documents for relevance and privilege, and analyzing case materials, reports, and discovery responses. Accurate tracking of billable time in accordance with firm policies is also required.You should have a solid understanding of federal and state court procedures, including electronic filing systems such as PACER, NYSCEF, and e-law/e-track, as well as strong research capabilities. At least four years of relevant experience, excellent organizational and follow-up skills, and the ability to manage multiple time-sensitive assignments. Proficiency in legal research platforms, Microsoft Office applications, and document management tools such as Kofax is expected. A bachelor’s degree and/or paralegal certificate is preferred.This position offers a salary range of $65,000 to $75,000, depending on experience and other relevant factors.
