The firm was founded by Liz Abdnour and Mark Weiker, after both operated separate students-rights focused firms in Michigan and Ohio, respectively.Our mission is to protect the rights and futures of students and educators. We practice primarily in the following areas: K12 school law and student rights; Title IX investigations, hearings, and litigation; special education law and disability rights; educator and school employee representation; and college student rights, code of conduct, and academic misconduct.Job descriptionWe are seeking an attorney with at least 2 years of litigation experience to assist in growing our student and educator rights-focused law practice in the state of Michigan. Experience in education, employment, or civil rights law is preferred, but not required. The position is full time (32+ hours per week) and licensure to practice law in Michigan is required.
