Project executive - architectural glass and metal

Are you a seasoned construction leader ready to step into a high-impact executive role? We are a premier, global glass and metal firm with a $100M+ backlog and a thriving New York City presence. We are seeking a Project Executive to serve as the "right hand" to our Director of Project Management in our Manhattan office. This is not a role for someone who wants to sit on the sidelines. You will oversee a $15M - $20M portfolio of high-rise, commercial, and ornamental metal projects. Your mission is to provide the strategic oversight and mentorship needed to keep our project management team performing at the highest level while allowing our ownership to focus on global company growth. salary: $125,000 - $145,000 per year shift: First work hours: 8 AM - 4:30 PM education: No Degree Required Responsibilities Portfolio Leadership: Oversee a $15M - $20M workload, guiding 3-5 Project Managers and APMs.Financial Oversight: Ensure all projects meet rigorous expectations for schedules, budgets, and profitability.Team Mentorship: Conduct regular performance reviews and "sit-downs" with PMs to evaluate job progress.Strategic Buy-outs: Oversee material procurement to ensure budgetary goals are met through competitive bidding.Problem Solving: Act as the escalation point for complex field issues, visiting NYC job sites (10% travel) to resolve conflicts.Liaison: Work "hand-in-hand" with Drafting, Estimating, and the Shop for seamless resource alignment. Qualifications10+ Years Experience: Proven track record in the NYC glazing, curtain wall, or architectural metal industry.Managerial Expertise: Exceptional skills to manage and mentor experienced Project Managers.Industry Savvy: Deep understanding of the NYC market, union projects, and technical fabrication.Systems: Proficiency in Procore, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Project is highly preferred.Education: Degree in Engineering or Construction Management is a plus.
