This position would serve students between 2 preschool locations. The caseload would include students in the integrated preschool classrooms with identified speech/language needs as well as students with the most significant social communication needs in specialized programs.This position requires high levels of collaboration and consultation. This is a very unique position that requires flexibility and the willingness to learn and grow to support diverse learning profiles.Responsibilities:Provide direct and indirect services/supports to students in preschool in accordance with IDEA B.Participate as a member of a multidisciplinary team to conduct assessments for students referred for evaluation.Provide short-term Rtl (Response to Intervention) support based on the building problem solving team recommendations.Bill Medicaid as appropriate.Qualifications:Special Services License issued by CDE; Master's Degree in Speech Pathology or similar field requiredEffective communicator, creative and takes initiativeEvidence of organization, planning and time management skillsExperience developing and implementing IEPs.Knowledge and/or experience in developing, organizing and implementing preschool programming for children 3-5 with and without disabilities as well as culturally and linguistically diverse populations.Understanding and experience with evidence based practices for autism and implementation of social-communication programming.Experience:Experience working as a speech/language specialist in a public school setting preferred, but not requiredExperience with core vocabulary and low to high tech augmentative communication devicesExperience and/or training in providing direct intervention for students identified as Autistic, either as a Service Provider or as an integrated Service Provider to other special education programsExperience in student assessment and data collectionLinks to Important Job Information:Benefits InformationSalary SchedulesLeaves InformationNon-Discrimination NoticeAll future correspondence will be handled via the email address you provided in your online application.
