Java Backend developer

We are seeking a highly skilled Java Backend Developer to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust, scalable backend systems and APIs using Java and associated frameworks. This role will work closely with front-end developers, QA teams, and business stakeholders to deliver powerful, high-performance software solutions.ResponsibilitiesDesign, implement, and maintain server-side logic and components using Java.Develop and document RESTful APIs and integrate with front-end applications and third-party services.Optimize systems for scalability, speed, and reliability.Collaborate with cross-functional teams for feature development and troubleshooting.Write clean, maintainable, well-tested code following best practices.Participate in code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and ensure coding standards.Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade software as needed.Maintain central databases and ensure secure data access and storage.Contribute to DevOps and deployment processes.QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or a related fieldProven experience as a backend developer with a strong focus on Java.Solid grasp of object-oriented design and programming.Proficiency with Java frameworks (Spring, Hibernate, etc.).Experience designing and consuming RESTful APIs.Familiarity with SQL and database management systems (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL)Knowledge of version control tools (e.g., Git) and CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins).Experience with Docker and microservices architecture is a plus.Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Team player with excellent communication and organizational skills.Preferred SkillsExperience working in Agile/Scrum teams.Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).Basic knowledge of front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) is a plus.eExperience with unit and integration testing.
