Included in the S&P 500 Index, CoStar Group is on a mission to digitize the world's real estate, empowering all people to discover properties, insights and connections that improve their businesses and lives.We are currently seeking an accomplished Senior DevOps Engineer to join our team to support multiple software products and brands across the organization, such as Debt Solution, CoStar Suite, LoopNet, Apartments.com, Homes.com, and Ten-X.This position is located in Arlington VA and offers a schedule of Monday through Thursday in office and the option to work from home Friday.ResponsibilitiesOwnership and pride in performance and its impact on company's success and can work in a fast-paced environment, supporting multiple software products and brands across the organization.Automating and leveraging DevOps principles, always striving for operational excellence with infrastructure-as-code mentality.Continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) using latest DevOps tools and innovative methodsWorks well in a team environment as an individual contributorAn individual who is comfortable in a development and operations roleCommunicate and collaborate well with teams in IT and business organizations within the companyDeploy, manage, and troubleshoot containerized applications using Kubernetes and container orchestration platforms (e.g., EKS, AKS, GKE, or on-prem Kubernetes)Support application deployments across cloud and on-prem environments, ensuring high availability, scalability, and reliabilityDiagnose and resolve infrastructure, deployment, and performance issues across distributed and microservices-based systemsBe a critical thinker with good problem solving and time management skills and an ability to multi-taskStrong communication skills, expresses oneself clearly both verbally and in writing.Provides help to management, including hiring, on-boarding, training and performance reviews.Motivates team members and assesses performance, keeps management updated on team performance.Basic Skills and QualificationsBachelor's Degree required from an accredited, in-person, not for profit university or collegeA track record of commitment to prior employers5+ years' experience with managing heavy web traffic sites using mass scale architecture with a developer focusSolid sizing and estimation techniques for small to medium size tasks and projectsInfrastructure as code using CloudFormation, Terraform or similar platformsSome experience in AWS or Azure or Google cloudExperience with enterprise monitoring tools in areas of APM, system vitals, synthetics, and RUM.Heavy scripting support (PowerShell), Bash, Ruby, GroovyExperience with any SQL or No SQL databasesExperience configuring Content Delivery Networks (CDN) for performance caching and global traffic management.Familiarity with infrastructure foundation components of large networks in AWS and on-prem (e.g., systems & network administration, DNS, hypervisors, containers, databases, multi-datacenters).Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and container orchestration in production environmentsExperience with application deployment strategies (rolling, blue-green, canary) and production troubleshooting in containerized environmentsPreferred Skills and QualificationsProgramming languages / some developer background with either Java, C#, Python, NodeJSServer-less architecture methodologiesFamiliarity with PCI compliance and remediationMobile application support (iOS, Android)Experience in REST API or Microservices developmentAgile methodologies and working on short sprint cyclesExperience with Kubernetes observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, and centralized logging (e.g., ELK stack).Experience managing Kubernetes deployments using Helm or similar package management tools.When you join CoStar Group, you'll experience a collaborative and innovative culture working alongside the best and brightest to empower our people and customers to succeed.We offer you generous compensation and performance-based incentives.
