This program rewards leaders who demonstrate a strong commitment to safety, performance, and keeping our employees and communities safe.POSITION SUMMARYThe Route Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily service operations to ensure safe, timely, and cost-effective waste collection. This role leads drivers using Waste Pro's Core Values and Positive Leadership approach while delivering a "Distinguishably Different" level of service.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESLead Daily Operations: Supervise drivers, coordinate routes, and ensure efficient service deliveryPromote Safety: Enforce company safety standards, support Decision Driving practices, and lead safety meetingsRoute Management: Assign new services, optimize routes, and monitor productivity (yardage, tonnage, hauls)Team Development: Train new hires, coach drivers, conduct ride-alongs, and address performance needsCustomer Service Excellence: Resolve service issues, respond to dispatch communications, and maintain strong relationships with customers and municipalitiesCompliance & Reporting: Ensure adherence to DOT regulations, company policies, and complete required reports (inspections, incidents, performance)Equipment Oversight: Monitor vehicle conditions and coordinate repairs with maintenance teamsOperational Support: Step in to assist routes or cover staffing shortages when neededADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIESParticipate in company-sponsored training and ongoing developmentStay current with technology and systems used by Waste ProPerform other duties as assigned by leadershipWORK ENVIRONMENTThis is a hands-on, field-based role.
