BAS Controls Technician
BAS Controls TechnicianWe are seeking a skilled BAS Controls Technician with experience in the Tridium Niagara framework and Honeywell Building Automation systems. This role is designed for a technician who can hit the ground running with programming, commissioning, and maintaining complex building automation systems.This position is responsible for programming, commissioning, maintaining, and troubleshooting advanced Building Automation Systems (BAS). The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Tridium Niagara (AX or N4) and Honeywell building automation systems, along with strong knowledge of HVAC mechanical systems and control networks.Key ResponsibilitiesProgramming and IntegrationProgram and modify building automation systems using the Tridium Niagara framework and Honeywell platforms.Integrate third-party systems using BACnet, Modbus, and LonWorks protocols.Configure system databases and ensure proper controller communication.System CommissioningPerform onsite commissioning activities including point-to-point checkout, sequence verification, and functional performance testing.Validate system performance to ensure compliance with project specifications.System Maintenance and TroubleshootingDiagnose and repair issues within HVAC control systems and BAS networks.Perform preventive maintenance, system diagnostics, and repairs on building automation equipment.Graphics and System ConfigurationConfigure Niagara PX graphics, alarms, schedules, and trend logs.Support system monitoring and operational visibility for customers.Customer and Technical SupportAssist with system startup and installation support.Provide basic training to building operators and facility staff on system functionality.Required QualificationsExperienceMinimum 3-5 years of experience working with Tridium Niagara (AX or N4) and Honeywell BAS systems.Technical SkillsProficiency with Niagara Workbench and Honeywell DDC controllers.Experience integrating building automation systems with BACnet, Modbus, or LonWorks networks.HVAC KnowledgeStrong understanding of mechanical HVAC systems, including:ChillersBoilersAir Handling Units (AHUs)Electrical KnowledgeAbility to read and interpret electrical schematics and low-voltage control wiring diagrams.TroubleshootingDemonstrated ability to independently diagnose and resolve complex BAS controller and network issues.Work Location and TravelPrimary Work LocationSalisbury, Maryland branchService TerritoryEastern Shore of Maryland, including Easton, Ocean City, and surrounding areas.Travel RequirementsDaily travel to customer sites within the Eastern Shore region is required.Why Join EASI Control and Mechanical ServicesBe part of the Exigent Group, a growing platform of mechanical service companies.Work with advanced building automation technologies.Opportunity to grow with a team focused on technical excellence, safety, and customer satisfaction.Equal Opportunity EmployerThis employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
