The role involves close collaboration with the internal engineering team and cross-functional stakeholders to deliver high-quality CAD models, drawings, and design optimizations for both new and existing products.Key Responsibilities:Work closely with the internal engineering team and stakeholders on engineering design and development initiativesProvide CAD support using SolidWorks for:New product developmentProduct enhancements and value engineeringRegular production and manufacturing supportSupport engineering customization and optimization activities using CAD automation toolsDevelop, implement, and document drawing and modeling standards in alignment with engineering best practicesModify and create engineering models, assemblies, and drawings in accordance with approved standardsPerform clean-up modeling, including:Fully defined sketchesRemoval of suppressed features or sketchesEnsuring complete and accurate feature definitionsCreate and maintain:Solid models of parts and assembliesStandard part librariesPart drawings, assembly drawings, and manufacturing drawingsParticipate in value engineering initiatives to improve existing product linesBased on business requirements and timelines, coordinate with offshore technical teams onengineering tasks and tactical projects to:Reduce costsEnsure quick turnaround timesAllow the in-house team to focus on core engineering activitiesRequired Skills & Qualifications:Strong hands-on experience with SolidWorks (3D modeling, assemblies, drawings)Solid understanding of mechanical design principles and manufacturing processesExperience with drawing standards, modeling best practices, and design documentationAbility to work collaboratively with cross-functional and offshore teamsStrong attention to detail and qualityExcellent communication and coordination skillsPreferred Qualifications:Experience with CAD automation toolsBackground in manufacturing or production support environmentsExposure to value engineering and product optimization initiativesAt Technosoft Engineering we are dedicated to building a diverse, inclusive and authentic workplace, so if you’re excited about this role but your experience doesn’t align perfectly with every qualification in the job description, we encourage you to apply anyway.
