Construction Superintendent (Night)
Night Shift SuperintendentNexus Data Centers is hiring Night Shift Superintendents to lead field construction on our multi-gigawatt hyperscale AI data center campus in Hill County, TX, one of the largest self-powered data center builds underway. We are hiring across Civil, Piping, Mechanical, and Electrical disciplines to run night shift field operations on a live, large-scale site.What You'll Do• Own nightly field execution for your discipline, including sequencing, crew coordination, and productivity across multiple subcontractors• Drive schedule adherence and flag or resolve field issues before they become delays• Enforce quality standards and safety protocols across your scope• Coordinate directly with Project Engineers, Field Engineers, and QA/QC on RFIs, submittals, and inspections• Manage subcontractor performance, manpower loading, and material logistics for your area• Participate in nightly progress meetings and look-ahead scheduling, and coordinate handoff with day shift leadership• Support commissioning teams as systems move from construction to turnoverDiscipline-Specific Focus• Civil Superintendent: Sitework, grading, foundations, underground utilities, concrete, and site logistics across the campus footprint.• Piping Superintendent: Above and below ground piping installation, welding and fabrication oversight, hydrotesting, and tie-ins across power generation and data hall scopes.• Mechanical Superintendent: Equipment installation, HVAC and cooling systems, equipment piping connections, and start-up support for data hall and power generation infrastructure.• Electrical Superintendent: Medium and low voltage installation, cable pulling and terminations, grounding, switchgear and transformer setting, and support for energization and start-up across power generation and data hall scopes.What You Bring• 7+ years as a Superintendent in heavy industrial, power generation, utility-scale, or large-scale commercial construction (LNG, solar EPC, oil and gas, or similar backgrounds welcome; data center experience not required)• Deep field leadership experience managing multiple crews and subcontractors simultaneously• Strong working knowledge of your discipline's codes, standards, and inspection requirements• Comfortable driving schedule and quality on a fast moving, high accountability site• Ability to work night shift full-time on-site in Hubbard, TXPhysical Requirements & Work Environment• Spends the majority of each shift on foot in active construction areas, standing and walking on uneven ground for extended periods• Climbs ladders, stairs, and scaffolding, and works at heights or in confined spaces as scope requires• Occasionally lifts and carries up to 50 pounds, with frequent bending, kneeling, reaching, and grasping• Works outdoors year round in Central Texas conditions, including extreme heat, cold, wind, rain, dust, and high noise levels, as well as low light and nighttime conditions• Wears required PPE on site at all times, including hard hat, safety glasses, high visibility clothing, and steel toed boots• Holds a valid driver's license and can travel across a large, active site daily• Works extended hours as the construction schedule requires, with a primary schedule on nights and weekends• Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of this roleWhy NexusGround floor of a long-term, funded build-out.
