Our nurses are a vital part of ourmission to provide compassionate, high-quality healthcare to ourcommunity.### Position Summary {#position-summary data-start="648" end="668"}The Registered Nurse provides professional nursing care to patients inthe Medical/Surgical unit by assessing patient needs, developing andimplementing nursing care plans, and collaborating with physicians andinterdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.### Essential Duties and Responsibilities {#essential-duties-and-responsibilities data-start="945" end="986"} Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans Monitor patient condition and report changes to the physician andcare team Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physicianorders and hospital policies Provide patient and family education regarding care, treatment, anddischarge instructions Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other healthcareprofessionals to coordinate care Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medicalrecord Ensure compliance with all safety, infection control, and regulatorystandards Respond effectively in emergency situations and provide appropriateinterventions### Qualifications {#qualifications data-start="1670" end="1688"} Current license in the State of Kansas (or compact license) BLS certification required Previous Medical/Surgical nursing experience preferred Strong communication and critical thinking skills Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environmentEOE
