Special Education Teacher in Prescott, AZ

Step into a meaningful role supporting the growth and success of exceptional learners as a Special Education Teacher. This contract position is based near Prescott, AZ, with openings for both full-time and part-time professionals for onsite services. Two positions are available, starting January 5 and continuing through the end of the school year, with the potential to extend through late May.Key Qualifications:Valid teaching certification in Special Education (Arizona credentials preferred)Experience with students identified with SLD (Specific Learning Disability), OHI (Other Health Impairment), and Autism eligibilityAbility to manage diverse caseloads and adapt to varying student needsStrong communication skills for collaborating with support staff, administration, and familiesCompetency in developing and implementing IEPs, progress monitoring, and classroom behavior management Position Details:One role serves 27 resource students in grades 4-8 with SLD and OHI eligibilityThe other supports a self-contained classroom for 7 students in grades 4-6 with SLD, OHI, and Autism eligibilityFull-time schedules (35-40 hours/week), with part-time options consideredOnsite services primarily at the Florentine campus, with the backing of a lead teacher and remote support via Zoom Primary Responsibilities:Develop, implement, and maintain Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)Write progress notes and communicate student growth to families and support teamsManage classroom behaviors and provide differentiated instructionCollaborate with staff for cohesive educational strategies
