Job Description
Correction Officer Trainees are required to successfully complete a 12-month training program before advancing to full Correction Officer status. As part of the program, you will attend the Correctional Services Training Academy for a minimum 8-week formal training program.
Correction Officers are responsible for:
Maintaining custody, security, and order in correctional facilities.
Ensuring the safety and well-being of incarcerated individuals.
Supervising daily activities, including work release centers, drug treatment campuses, and shock incarceration facilities.
Enforcing rules, preventing escapes, and responding to emergencies.
This role is ideal for candidates interested in criminal justice, security, corrections, and law enforcement careers.
Salary & Pay Incentives
Base Salary: $66,365 – $101,269
Includes a $5,000 annual geographic pay differential

Qualifications
High school diploma or GED (college graduates welcome)
