POSTION SUMMARY: We're looking for a experienced Corporate Controller to lead our accounting and controls function and help build a best-in-class finance organization. This role is ideal for a technically strong accounting leader who understands risks and how to build process to mitigate them, has a sharp attention to detail, and has a strong technical background. You'll own the integrity of our financial reporting, the balance sheet, and control environment, while acting as a trusted thought partner to the executive leadership team. You'll play a critical role in strengthening governance, ensuring audit readiness, and maintaining operational discipline across the company. This role is positioned at the Director level, with the opportunity to broaden responsibility as the business scales. Where You'll Work This role will be based out of our Waltham, MA headquarters. Our company in-office schedule is designed to maximize collaboration & relationship building balanced with flexibility and well-being with 3 days in office and Thursdays/Friday being remote, flex days. What You'll Do: Manage the general ledger through the monthly/quarterly/annual close processes Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting and balance sheet integrity Design, implement, and maintain a strong control environment Lead internal and external audits and support Audit Committee requirements Ensure compliance with accounting standards, policies, and governance expectations Oversee accounting for incentive programs Support pension-related accounting and Pension Committee activities Partner with FP&A on forecasting, targets, and performance measurement Support monthly and annual business reviews with accurate financial insights Ensure compliance with various taxing authorities Prepare and present materials to the Audit Committee Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting and controls team Who You Are: A trusted accounting leader with strong judgment and high standards Deeply committed to accuracy, discipline, and control excellence Comfortable operating at both the technical and executive levels A proactive partner who anticipates risks and solves problems A people leader who builds strong, capable teams What You'll Need: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance CPA preferred 10+ years of progressive controllership or accounting leadership experience Expertise in GAAP, controls, audits, and balance sheet management Experience supporting manufacturing, supply chain, or complex operations preferred Strong leadership and executive communication skills At Welch's we value diversity, a passion for what you do, and a commitment to continuous learning. This range reflects the minimum and maximum for the position across all US locations, is based on a full-time work schedule, and is Welch's good faith estimate as of the date of this posting. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
