Web Server & Application Migration Consultant

UNIVERSAL Technologies is seeking a Web Server & Application Migration Consultant for an onsite role in Brooklyn, NY or within the 5 boroughs to support enterprise web application migration and modernization initiatives. This role focuses on secure web server configuration, micro-segmentation, and ensuring application environments align with modern security and infrastructure standards. WHAT WE OFFER Competitive compensation Health, Dental, and Vision Insurance Group Life Insurance 401(K) HSA/FSA options Pre-Tax Transportation Program Generous PTO and holiday package MANDATORY SKILLS / EXPERIENCE Minimum of 4 years of experience in enterprise systems administration or migration initiatives Minimum of 4 years of experience with Windows Server (2016/2019/2022/2025) administration Minimum of 4 years of hands-on experience with IIS web servers and application middleware Minimum of 4 years of experience with networking and security concepts, including micro-segmentation, HTTP/HTTPS, DNS, TCP/IP, FTP/SFTP, SMTP, and load balancing Minimum of 4 years of experience managing SSL/TLS certificates and implementing secure configurations SCOPE OF SERVICES Design and oversee migration of complex web application environments across enterprise infrastructure Implement micro-segmentation strategies to secure web applications and enforce proper network isolation Identify, coordinate, and facilitate firewall requirements and rule configurations to support segmented environments Ensure application configurations align with modern security architecture and compliance requirements Configure, harden, and validate web server (IIS) environments for optimal performance, reliability, and security Conduct comprehensive testing and validation, including issue identification, troubleshooting, and resolution prior to production deployment Manage and validate SSL/TLS configurations, certificates, and secure communication protocols Collaborate with infrastructure, network, and security teams to ensure seamless integration across environments Support migration activities, including performance tuning, configuration validation, and production readiness UNIVERSAL Technologies is an equal opportunity employer.
