We are seeking a Temporary LPN to start June 1st!Job Title: Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)Temporary Status: This role will be temporary for 6 weeks starting June 1st. Opportunity for Full-Time Permanent hire possible after 6-weeks.Location: Our LPN's work both in our office in Golden Valley as well as visit different group homes throughout the Twin Cities and the day program in Hopkins.Schedule: Monday-Friday regular daytime business hours; For the purpose of providing guidance and phone triaging, the Nurse will have an on-call rotation including mornings, evening, and weekends.Wage: $70,000 annual salary (for Licensed Practical Nurse)As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with Meridian Services and Zenith Services, you will support our Group Home, In-Home Supports, and Day Program settings; Our Nurse staff provide training, support, and guidance related to the medical needs of our person served and programs.Essential Job Duties:Provide medical guidance, triage, and direction to our Program Management and Direct Support Professionals regarding any medical concerns or issues of persons we provide services to.Supervision of small team of LPN'sTeach medication administration class to Direct Support Professionals and management staff including some Saturday classesOn site training of medical procedures at our group homes including but not limited to catheters, diabetic procedures, DNI/DNRConduct audits of medication logs, health progress notes, medications, policy and procedure, appointments and orders, and medical documentation review at our different group homes and our day program. This is done on a schedule in combination with our LPN's.Be an advocate as needed and requested at medical appointments for persons served.Assist with medical related concerns/communications for persons served with medical providers.Required Qualifications:Active, unrestricted nursing licensure from state of MinnesotaAt least 2 years experience working within the field of NursingSuccessful clearance of Department of Human Services background checkProficiency in spoken and written English communicationSuccessful clearance of Motor Vehicle Background Check and acceptable driving record per Company PolicyRequired Skills and Abilities:RN that is passionate about training staff on medical equipment and psychotropic medication monitoring and administrationSkilled at delivering and teaching a class, "Medication Administration" to new hires and for review purposes with current staffProven ability to provide quality patient care and be an advocate to patientsApproachable demeanor with ability to answer medical related questions from staff, while providing a teaching approach through the communicationStrong organizational, reasoning and problem-solving skillsExceptional inter-personal communication skills
