Assistant Purchasing Agent

JCS is seeking an Assistant Purchasing Agent to join our team!About JCSJones Construction Services of The Carolinas is a family-owned business which specializes in the installation of exterior siding, roofing, and screen rooms. JCS leverages technology to manage every aspect of the projects including: estimating, job quality, safety, scheduling, proper ordering of supplies, work efficiency, improved customer reporting and more. Our Proven Process, enhanced technology, family atmosphere, experienced dedicated employees, and our constant effort to improve are what truly sets JCS apart from the competition.Responsibilities:Attend Pre-Con meetings with JCS Account Managers, Estimating, Field, and Operations TeamsAnalyze and fully understand project plans, details and specificationsReview estimate takeoffs to confirm projects are ordered correctlyOrder material by following the estimate takeoff and specifications for each builderObtain material vendor quotes and pricing as requiredConsult and communicate with general contractors, architects and engineersReview contract documents upon award with JCS Account ManagerAssist Project Managers with administrative duties as neededAssist in refining material lists by providing detailed feedback and working directly with the estimating department. ​Preferred Qualifications:Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management or equivalent job experienceAbility to read plans and specsStrong analysis and critical thinking skillsTech savvy with proficiency in MS OfficeDeadline and detail-oriented with top-notch time management skillsExcellent written and oral communication skillsAbility to work in a fast-paced team environmentAbility to multi-task and purchase multiple projects at the same time Compensation & Benefits:Excellent SalaryPaid Time OffPaid HolidaysSafe & Clean Work EnvironmentMedical & Dental BenefitsAdvancement opportunities401K
