Azure | IT Manager | Cloud Operations | Security | Infrastructure | Remote US | $200k | GC / US CitizenshipRole: IT ManagerLocation: RemoteSalary: $160,000 - $200,000We’re looking for an experienced IT Manager to take ownership of our internal IT and cloud environment and drive its evolution as the organization grows.This is a senior, high impact “player/coach” role, ideal for someone who enjoys balancing strategy with hands-on execution. You’ll define standards, make key technical decisions, and step in to solve complex issues when needed.What You’ll DoCloud & InfrastructureOwn and optimize our Azure environment for security, governance, and cost efficiencyEstablish standards for subscriptions, RBAC, tagging, and resource managementImprove reliability, observability, and disaster recovery readinessIdentity & Access ManagementManage end-to-end identity lifecycle (joiners, movers, leavers)Maintain secure, auditable access controls and privileged access practicesLead access reviews and ensure audit traceabilitySecurity OperationsDefine incident escalation paths and response processesImplement practical security baselines (MFA, conditional access, patching, monitoring)Proactively identify and remediate gapsApplications & PlatformsMaintain a system of record for all business applications and servicesPartner with engineering and business teams on platform decisionsUnderstand dependencies across SaaS and cloud ecosystemsIT Operations & HelpdeskImprove escalation models and operational workflowsStrengthen onboarding/offboarding experiencesStep into complex or high-impact issues when neededAudit & ComplianceOwn IT audit readiness (e.g., SOX, SOC 2)Ensure controls are documented, executed, and evidencedPartner with finance and compliance stakeholdersWhat Success Looks LikeClear visibility into systems, ownership, and access modelsWell-governed, cost-aware cloud infrastructureRepeatable, audit-ready identity and access processesSecure and efficient onboarding/offboardingContinuous improvements in support and security postureWhat You BringRequired:Experience leading IT operations in a mid-sized organizationStrong Azure expertise (identity, governance, RBAC, cost management)Hands-on experience in IAM, endpoint management, and security operationsProven ability to support audit and compliance requirementsStrong troubleshooting and stakeholder communication skillsHigh ownership mindsetPreferred:Experience in regulated industries (e.g., insurance, finance, healthcare)Familiarity with SOX ITGCs, SOC 2, or similar frameworksExposure to SaaS ecosystems and observability toolingAbility to balance strategic thinking with hands-on delivery
