Summary:
The Local Dump Truck Driver is responsible for safely and efficiently operating a dump truck on local routes and hauling materials to and from job sites. This position remains local and does not require working on weekends.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· Operates vehicle in accordance with OSHA (Occupational and Safety Health Act) and DOT (Department of Transportation) requirements as well as all local, municipal, state, and federal laws;
· Performs pre- and post-trip inspections of assigned equipment and documents checks;
· Immediately reports any unsafe situations, damage, accidents, or service-related issues to supervisor;
· Occasionally operate loader to load materials into truck;
· Attends and participates in all scheduled training programs, briefings, and meetings required;
· Identifies and completed local routes in accordance with Company expectations and goals;
· Positions and / or returns dumpsters on the property in a manner that ensures lids and or doors are properly replaced, and do not block driveway entrances or traffic;
· Other duties as assigned.
Supervisory:
This position does not oversee staff.

Education/Experience
21+ years of age;
1-3 years experience as aa CDL-license driver.
Required Skills/Abilities
Knowledge of federal and local driving safety regulations;
Excellent time management skills and attention to detail;
Good verbal communication skills.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
· Must possess a Class A or B license and a demonstrated ability to operate a vehicle safely.

The work is typically performed in a combination of outdoor and truck interior settings. The noise level is moderate to loud. Working conditions include exposure to dust, debris, traffic, and other road hazards. Environmental conditions may include exposure to sharp objects, slippery surfaces, crowded areas, or working near moving or heated parts. Local travel is a daily requirement of this position and drivers can expect to work a typical schedule of 8:00 am – 5:00 pm.
