Commercial Roof Service Manager
The Service Manager is responsible for generating sales and managing the business of roofing services, installation, maintenance and repair, and serving clients of commercial properties, industrial and institutional facilities. This role is a 50/50 split of sales and management of service department.If you are a Service Manager, Commercial Roofing with experience, please read on!What You Will Be Doing as Commercial Roof Service Manager:Develop and maintain relationships with existing customers, Roof Consultants and Product Representatives through business developmentAttend conventions, conferences and seminars related to the roofing industryEntertain at least one customer per week through lunches and/or golfing etc.Complete and/or review quotes and tenders for maintenance, repairs & mechanical upgrades as well as tenders for new roofs and roof replacementsPrepare and/or review roof reports with photos, roof CAD drawings and quotesCreate Work Orders for maintenance, repairs, new installations and roof replacementsDevelopment And Management Of Relationships And Service TeamCommunication with existing customers, Roof Consultants and Product RepresentativesResponsible for all department and field staff including compensation, hiring, terminating, goal setting and performance reviewsConduct bi-weekly staff meetings to discuss schedules staffing and general day to day itemsReview and update the production schedule and any safety auditsReview monthly work on hand with superintendent for jobs ready for invoicingCompletion and/or review of the following for new roofs or roof repairs:Quotes and tenders for maintenance, repairs, and mechanical upgradesRoof Reports which may include photos and quotesCustomer invoices and payable invoices, aged accounts, and receivablesWork Orders and Bid sheets weekly to establish workload and fluctuationsMaintain a departmental sales chart from the invoiced sales summaryFinancial analysis of project work on hand/work in progress and jobs completedWhat You Need For This PositionMinimum 5 years work experience in a supervisory/management role construction environment. Advanced knowledge of the Roofing industry and construction techniques is mandatory. Strong management, delegation, planning and leadership skills. Strong communication, organization, multi-tasking and problem solving skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
