*About the Opportunity*
We are seeking an experienced Chemist to support analytical laboratory operations in a regulated environment. The successful candidate will perform chemical testing, operate analytical instrumentation, execute analytical methods, and ensure compliance with laboratory procedures and pharmacopeial requirements. This position is ideal for a professional with strong analytical skills and hands-on experience with chromatography and laboratory instrumentation.
*Key Responsibilities*
* Perform chemical and analytical testing following established procedures and specifications.
* Operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and calibrate laboratory instrumentation, including HPLC, UV, and IR systems.
* Execute analytical methods and accurately interpret laboratory results.
* Utilize Empower chromatography software for data acquisition, processing, and reporting.
* Support laboratory investigations, root cause analysis, and problem-solving activities.
* Ensure accurate laboratory documentation and compliance with data integrity requirements.
* Apply USP, EP, and other pharmacopeial standards during testing activities.
* Collaborate with Quality, Manufacturing, and other cross-functional teams to support operational objectives.
* Maintain a safe and compliant laboratory environment.
*Minimum Qualifications*
* Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry.
* 3 to 5 years of laboratory experience within pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical device, or other regulated industries.
* Experience operating analytical laboratory instrumentation, including:
* HPLC
* UV Spectrophotometry
* IR Spectrophotometry
* Knowledge of chromatography principles and analytical techniques.
* Experience using Empower chromatography software.
* Familiarity with USP, EP, and related compendial requirements.
* Strong analytical, organizational, troubleshooting, and documentation skills.
*Preferred Qualifications*
* Active Chemist License.
* Experience in GMP-regulated environments.
* Strong technical writing and investigation skills.
